Matt introduced me to FACEBOOK. According to their home page it's a social utility website that anyone can join. Whatever that is! Basically, you post your profile and find all your friends, current and long lost thanks to their search engine. It's great if, like me, you spent most of your time in America, because that is where most facebookers live. This application is not quite so well known in France, but perhaps with people like me getting their friends to sign up, we'll build up some momentum.
Jason added TRAVBUDDY to his facebook applications. This is also a great website. Create a world map that shows all the places you've travelled to. Read tips and reviews for locations you are planning a trip to. Write travel reviews about your hometown or places you've been to. I'd joined WAYN (Where in the world are you) last year but dropped it because it was too sleazy, more of a dating site in disguise. TRAVBUDDY is different. These are serious travellers and the blogs and pictures are great.
